The Nokia Nseries are one of the most revolutionary models of mobile phones today that brought about advanced technologies into handheld mobile phones. One of its most popular model of Nseries cellular phones for sale today is the Nokia N95. Capabilities that made the Nokia N95 popular includes a Global Positioning System receiver with maps and optional turn-by-turn directions; a 5 megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash, video recording and video conferencing; wireless connectivity via HSDPA, IrDA, 802.11x and Bluetooth.

Because of the success of the Nokia Nseries, not only with N95, but also with other models such as N82 and N96, Nokia have yet again released another model of Nseries that is believed to top even the N95 series. This model is the Nokia N97.

Latest Nokia Nseries

The Nokia N97 is a touch screen combined phone and "mobile computer" in the Nseries of smartphones by Nokia, with a fold-out QWERTY keyboard. Announced on 2 December 2008, the N97 is Nokia's second touchscreen cellular phones for sale today (after the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic that is based on the Nokia S60 platform. Informal tests have shown that the battery can last nearly two days despite regular use of the phone's various features.

The Nokia N97 was then released in US flagship stores on 9 June 2009 and has a worldwide release date of "June". It has already been released in some Asian countries such as Hong Kong and Taiwan and in all parts of the Middle East.

Most of N97's features are similar to those of other Nseries models, such as having an OS, camera, video recording, GPRS, 3G, and a browser capability. Other features that made the model unique from other Nseries models include:

Issues

There are, however, several issues pertaining to the use of the phone. Although the N97 is considered as the next top cellular phones for sale across the world, issues have risen from its use. These include:

In firmware v10 the backlight would not always come on after unlocking the phone.
The camera shutter cover scratches in between the lens and the flash. This results in the flash difusing light across one side of photographs as a white haze.
On 3 branded Nokia N97's, voice commands do not work.
